Wand Pricing

Art supplies is expensive, unfortunately. I would love to live in Michaels and just use the stock on hand at all times, but alas, I must pay for supplies myself. The clay is objectively the most expensive, averaging at $18/lbs. I can make around 8-9 wands from one pound of clay, which is great! Then comes painting, varnish, decorative wand boxes, velvet interiors... I make sure to use the highest quality materials I can afford so that you receive exactly what you are paying for.

After a few test runs (thank you guinea pigs!), I determined that the best shipping cost was a flat rate of $10. I ship all wands through UPS in 16"x6"x6" boxes. They tend to be more expensive to ship due to their awkward size, but this is the best size box for the wands in order to ensure they do not bounce around while shipping. You will never be charged more than $10 on shipping unless you have contacted me about delivering by a certain date, in which case we will discuss privately the best course of action.

The biggest effect on the price is the amount of time I spend on each wand. I do not take this business lightly. I spend hours upon hours on each wand, taking care to make sure it is perfect before even thinking about sending it out into the world. I build everything by hand, including the wands, letters, and custom wand boxes (with velvet inserts). Wands can take anywhere from 4 hours to two months to complete, sometimes longer. This does not include writing and staining letters, building the boxes, and sewing the inserts.

It is a lot of work and I love doing it for people, but it is incredibly time-consuming and I am a full-time student at college. Every wand is made with the utmost care and consideration. I dedicate my time, mind, and heart to making sure your wand is everything you've ever dreamed of.
